Acupuncture is one of the five branches of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Acupuncture uses hair-thin needles to stimulate special points of the body to achieve balance. Their insertion is hardly noticed by most and felt only as a small pinch, slight ache, or warm tingling sensation by others. After a session, people feel very relaxed and energized. Many people notice an immediate relief of symptoms. All the needles are sterile stainless steel and disposed after single use. Learn more about the basics here.

Here at Light Family Acupuncture, your comfort and health are our primary concerns. Chief Acupuncturist Melissa B. Light will conduct an extensive intake session to discuss and diagnose as well as explain all aspects of your treatment. Our clinic is perfect for those who have experienced acupuncture for years, and for all you newbies. We are dedicated to treating the entire family, and through the family’s whole cycle from prenatal to postpartum care and beyond.

Check out our FAQ section for answers to those questions you probably have, like whether it hurts and its success rate. We also blog weekly about diverse topics and seek to provide helpful information to help keep you educated.

Acupuncture can be used to treat a wide range of health issues, from allergies to fertility to developmental disorders to stress and anxiety. Contact us to learn how acupuncture might work for you.
